As the world goes Maxxing, watch for brands and communities that limit choice and reach.

and i get the overwhelm and choice of emails/substacks and always seem to stop and read yours.

and i prefer going to restaurants requesting omakase - even if it's a pizza place! the paralysation of choice is real. thank you.

Infinite choice is the soon to be extinct evolutionary stage. After conquering the physical world (see "fire") and the world of knowledge (see "information age") humans are now generating more inputs than the can process.

In steps AI, both built ("trained") on this information and presenting the only way for humans to process it. This is cognitive overload. If only this were the future: https://youtu.be/PKIp6CTliL4?si=ogNrg66HyH3caTad

I’ll say it again, in the land of the free: use your freedom of choice! Freedom of Choice!

Freedom of choice is what you got. Freedom from Choice is what you want.

I read it, find it interesting, i see it happening on tinder, but i fail to be persuaded that this "reality" (how we relate to "too much options) is a big sinister thing rather than a piece of human irrational habit that relates very poorly to how things should or should not be.
